Support a Preservation Project

Louisiana Landmarks Society occasionally serves as a fiscal agent for community-led preservation efforts, giving neighborhood groups and grassroots organizations a trusted way to raise and manage funds for a specific preservation project, threatened building, or advocacy issue.

These restricted funds may support expenses such as legal and professional fees, research, public outreach and marketing, community meetings, advocacy efforts, and other costs directly related to the project.

All contributions are maintained separately and restricted to the designated project. The use of funds is fully transparent to the supported organization, with Louisiana Landmarks Society providing the financial oversight and administration needed to help community groups focus on their preservation work.

Help Protect Ted’s Frostop

Ted’s Frostop is more than a familiar neighborhood landmark. For generations, its iconic root beer mug and beloved building have been part of the character of this stretch of New Orleans.

Louisiana Landmarks Society is working with neighbors and preservation advocates to support the nomination of Ted’s Frostop as a Local Historic Landmark and to ensure that its historic building and longtime business are protected as plans for the property move forward.

Your contribution will support the community-led effort to secure landmark designation and respond to development proposals that could threaten Ted’s Frostop, including advocacy, research, professional assistance, public outreach, and other expenses associated with protecting this important New Orleans landmark.

Louisiana Landmarks Society is serving as fiscal agent for this effort, providing a centralized way for supporters to contribute to the campaign.
