Carrollton Courthouse: Get Involved!

Louisiana Landmarks Society is joined by the Foundation for Historical Louisiana, and neighborhood organizations that surround the property including Maple Area Residents, Inc., Uptown Triangle Neighborhood Association, Calhoun Palmer Neighborhood Association, Carrollton-Riverbend Neighborhood Association, Old Carrollton Concerned Neighbors, Audubon Boulevard Parkway Association, Central Carrollton Association, Carrollton Area Network and Benjamin Franklin Alumni Association– with more joining as groups are alerted to the issue.

If you would like to join in our efforts, you can:

  • Add your name to the petition to save the Carrollton Courthouse. In doing so, you will be automatically added to our email list so that we can update you on the courthouse.

  • Attend the public forum: We are hosting a public forum, What's the Future of the Carrollton Courthouse?, on Wednesday, July 29 at 6pm at the First Unitarian Universalist Church on the corner of S. Claiborne and Jefferson Street. Mark you calendar, invite your colleagues and friends, and attend! There will be a quick informational talks, followed by a public comment session.
  • Donate Now!  Minimum donations of $10 will go toward our advocacy efforts for preserving the the courthouse. We will provide a receipt that can be used for tax deductible purposes.
