THURSDaY MARCH 21—VINO ON THE BAYOU RETURNS!

Stop by and enjoy a conversation with authors Rory O'Neill Schmitt and Rosary O'Neill about their new book Kate Chopin in New Orleans, which chronicles the life of novelist Kate Chopin and her time in the Crescent City. Tickets are $30 for Members, $35 General Public and includes a signed copy of the book, book discussion, live music and two drink tickets.

We are excited to be celebrating this year's award winners on Tuesday, May 14, 5:30-7:30 pm at beautiful Gallier Hall, 545 St Charles Avenue, New Orleans. 

This event is one of only two major fundraisers for Louisiana Landmarks Society. A great night of celebrations honoring exemplary projects in restoration, rehabilitation, interiors and new construction appropriate for historic neighborhoods.

Join us for a special presentation with master perfumer John Berglund of Tijōn.

Enjoy an informative talk about perfume making and its history followed by a wine tasting and refreshments.

Guests will be treated to a bottle of one of Tijōn’s New Orleans Collection perfumes to take home and enjoy.

Mourning Customs Tours with Save Our cemeteries

Louisiana Landmarks Society and Save Our Cemeteries are hosting a special tour on 19th century mourning and interment customs. Take a guided tour of the c. 1799 Pitot House while it is dressed in mourning and then walk over to St. Louis Cemetery No. 3 to view historic tombs and learn about the people inside them. Our cocktail ticket includes an apple cider cocktail.

RESERVATIONS REQUIRED, NO DOOR SALES. The tours are 2 hours. Bring comfortable walking shoes.
